Carnegie Endowment's New Vision Events

On February 5th and 6th, the Carnegie Endowment hosted a series of events to launch its New Vision—the transformation into the first global think tank by adding operations in Beirut, Beijing, and Brussels to their longstanding offices in Moscow and Washington, DC. The events demonstrated the breadth of its new mission and the strength of its global network of scholars. The events included a keynote address by Google USA CEO, Eric Schmidt, an analysis of the future of democratic reform in the Middle East, a debate on China's military modernization, and off-the-record conversation with the former Iranian ambassador to the United Nations, and a discussion on U.S.-China-Russia relations in Central Asia.
