He shares the bare bone minimum that you need to do to play both the melody and the chord changes by focusing on the song structure. Scott starts by playing the one note melody line. Make sure that you are using the lead sheet as a guide only. You want to try to play it the way you whistle or hum it. Then he moves to the chord changes. Scott demonstrates how to figure out and play a A sus chord. Next scott works through the bridge. He suggests that when you put your hands together you might want to start by playing just the root of the chord. This imitates a bass player, so play it down an octave. Do this makes it much easier to play with both hands. The sound is not quite as full but it sounds pretty good. Try it!
