The 836K compactor delivers efficiency and productivity through integrated machine systems including: an ICTC, STIC, load sensing hydraulic steering system, electro hydraulic controls, and improved hydraulic efficiency. The ICTC, or Impeller Clutch Torque Converter, reduces wheel slippage and tip without reducing hydraulic efficiency, and improves the fuel efficiency in certain applications with our lock-up clutch torque converter. Along with the ICTC, it also features a Steering and Transmission Integrated Control System (STIC) that maximizes responsiveness and control with an easy to operate finger controlled gear selection. The load sensing hydraulic steering system increases efficiency, achieves precise positioning, and enhances operator comfort. The 836K structure is built for the toughest condition with a full box-section rear frame that resists torsional shock and twisting forces, heavy-duty steering cylinder mounts, axle mounting, and a lower hitch pin, frame plate and bearing size. It also is built with best-in-class operator comfort and ergonomics such as the Cat Comfort Series III seat, a large, LED control panel, and even a convenient floor storage tray for your lunch! The 836K’s Cat C18 ACERT engine uses selective catalytic reduction to control nitrogen-oxide emissions that the Cat Clean Emissions Module to control particulate emissions. Additionally, the fully integrated electronic engine controls work in correspondence with the entire machine to make your fuel take you even further.
