The last wooden Whaling Ship in the world, the Charles W. Morgan, leaves Mystic Seaport in Mystic, CT, Saturday morning, 5-17-2014. The Morgan (built in 1841) first came to Mystic in 1941 and has been at the Mystic Seaport ever since. It just completed a five year, 10 million dollar restoration which also made her sea worthy. She will dock in New London, CT today and take on more ballast and will then visit various ports in New England before returning to Mystic..
