CHARLIE'S JUKEBOX -- LET THE MUSIC SPEAK

A CELEBRATION OF THE MUSICAL SPIRIT OF CHARLIE GILLETT. Revered broadcaster & writer Charlie Gillett tragically passed away last year ... but his spirit lives on! We invited everyone to join us in celebrating the man and the music he loved, at a special party at Clapham's Bread & Roses, a favourite venue of Charlie's. Upstairs there was live music from a whole range of performers, all of whom Charlie supported. Legendary London blues duo Errol Linton & Adam Blake, brilliant boogie piano man Diz Watson, Malagasey master guitarist Modeste Hugues, delightful Colombian singer/guitarist Carolina Herrera and fiery Senegalese bluesman Laye Sow and dropping in on the celebration were the Kuricorder Quartet with a unique sound. It turned out to be an incredible evening of a mixed bag of musical goodies playing to a full house.
