Chasing Waterfalls at Odum Tract EA in the Shawnee National Forest

I'm chasing waterfalls at Odum Tract EA in the Shawnee National Forest in this video. Odum Tract EA is home to some rare plants so please tread lightly. There are also cool things from the past that has been left behind. Celebrate public lands by bringing a bag with you to collect trash that you might see - it makes you feel pretty good to leave with a full bag of trash! There isn't a lot of trail to the waterfall cascade (37.49021, -88.88734) and barrens (37.48742, -88.88335) or the car (37.48879, -88.88258) and plow (37.48890, -88.88213). But allow for at least 3-4 miles of hiking to see all three features. 2. Is this hike a rugged hike? Yes. All of the features listed above with the coordinates attached are off trail. The area is rolling hills, creeks and rugged conditions. This is an Ecological Area, please watch your step as there is rare plants and flora present. 3. Do horseback riders use this trail? No. Equine use of this area is prohibited at all times. However, horses are allowed on the River to River Trail that passes through the area. Please yield to any horseback riders that you see and talk to the rider to help the horse know you are a human and mean no harm. 4. Any additional tips for this hike? Try to stay on the trail at all times to avoid hazardous conditions. Poison ivy and venomous snakes are present on this trail. Bring plenty of water and snack when visiting this trail.
