Cheshire By Barrister and Mann | The Daily Shave

Hey guys, Jack here again and I’m glad to be back in front of the camera shaving with you all. My choice of soap in this shave was Cheshire by Barrister and Mann. It’s one of his original lineup and has stayed popular because it’s an all-round excellent soap, in regards to both scent and overall performance. The scent as I described in the footage is Earl Grey Tea and this scent is made by blending American clary sage, bergamot, and small amounts of lavender and patchouli. For someone who’s English who lives in the United States scents like this bring me back home. My brush of choice was the Semogue Owners Club Taj Resin. I’ve been looking for a good boar brush for face lathering for a good while and I happened to come across this. I was glad I had found it because I have had previous boar knots that weren’t particularly great for my choice of lathering application. I find that a good boar brush can take a good while to break in (maybe around 10-20 shaves) but once the hairs have split and began to fan, your hard work is awarded with a beautifully soft knot with heaps of backbone and this brush doesn’t differ from that.
