"Chicanery" is Why Better Call Saul Stands On Its Own

Better Call Saul's most recent episode titled, "Chicanery" has proven to be the most brilliant episode in the series to date. Not only was the episode a masterpiece of multiple plot moments coming together to be integrated into a perfectly constructed puzzle, yet it also proved that Better call Saul is a show that can stand on its own. Oftentimes whenever a great BCS episode is shown, many people will say that it felt like watching Breaking Bad or that it was Breaking Bad-quality. However, this episode didn't feel like Breaking Bad. It felt like Better call Saul. It showed that you don't need a ton of killing and action to create a great episode. Thanks to all of the slow-burn build up of the tension between Jimmy and Chuck, this resolution was that much better. Bob Odenkirk and Michael McKean both did a fantastic job in the episode. It was also epic to finally see Huell Babineaux back in the game using his sneaky sleight of hand to plant the phone battery on Chuck. Anyways, I just thought I would share my thoughts on this amazing episode. I can't wait to see the rest of Better call Saul season 3 and the fate of Chuck, in addition to Jimmy McGill's transition to becoming Saul Goodman. Thanks for watching!
