His philosophy on life is "if you don't have a good sense of humor, you're better off dead." He is optimistic in the face of deadly odds and uses this optimism to get through this Unknown business that he believes is just a passing trend and will blow over soon enough. Past: Roger Rabbit was originally a cartoon character created by R. K. Maroon that had a temporary status as a star. However, after television was invented, the animated theatrical shorts began to diminish in popularity and Roger was out of a job. It was about this time that Clopin was running around the Hollywood looking for trouble, as well as a cartoon star to make his new second in command. Sympathizing with Roger's current state of unemployment, Clopin gave the Toon rabbit the job and the two began their partnership of fun and pranks for all the world.
