A 53-year-old female circumcision expert in West Pokot has downed her tools after the circumcision of a 16-year-old expectant girl went awry, when she bled to death during delivery. Cheponger Yarasia who has carried out Female Genital Mutilation for the past 20 years voluntarily surrendered her tools after learning of the 16 year-old girl's death.
