clEAR Games for Hearing Impaired Engage Ears for Auditory Brain Training

They aren't trying to develop a new hearing aid, the professionals with clEAR are trying to develop a better brain! After years of research at Washington University in St. Louis, new software is helping many with hearing impairments train their brains to listen to those who matter most. Kids can have the voice of their teacher inserted in the software, then learn how to identity it amidst a din of crowd noise. St. Louis-based clEAR is creating computer games to train the ears to hear. The games offer a new twist on the once stodgy world of therapy, making it fun.
