Consenses is an artistic game of telephone where a piece of art is translated into a new medium through a chain interpretive reaction. None of the artists are privy to the identities of the other participants and no one gets to see further back into the interpretive chain farther than the one piece back they are supplied. Despite the blind nature of the collaboration, there are amazing surprising similarities through out the chain reactions. Started by Sally Taylor in 2012, Consenses is a Global Multidicipinary artistic collaboration involving over 140 artists from all over the world. The project promotes peace, tolerance, and empathy by providing art as a lens and a language through which to view ourselves, each other and the world more expansively.
