Cops dramatically rescue bride from flooded road in New Jersey

A New Jersey bride found her knight in shining armor on her wedding day — but he wasn’t the groom. The bride was riding in a limo with her wedding party in Bogota around 6 p.m. Saturday when the area’s flash flooding suddenly trapped them at River Road and Elm Avenue, NJ.com said. The group frantically called the local police department for help, and cops sent out two officers in a military-grade Humvee to rescue them. Bogota Officer Michael Laferrera climbed out of the Humvee and stood on the roof of the police vehicle as the bride — in her wedding dress and white shoes — scampered from the limo through its sunroof. The bride was then helped by the cop to the roof of the Humvee and into the police vehicle
