Criminal Minds Parody - A Spoof Episode

After a string of gruesome murders in Denver, Colorado leaves the local authorities stumped, they have no choice but to call in the FBI for additional resources. However, with Aaron Hotchner's Behavioural Analysis Unit away on vacation, their inept counterparts, the Behaving Abnormally Unit led by fed-up unit chief Darren Crotchner are the ones assigned to help. But will this team of lackluster lookalikes be able to solve the case? Or will their bumbling antics prove to be their demise? I've always wondered what 'Criminal Minds', my personal favorite TV show would look like if one of its episodes were done as a black comedy with a little slapstick thrown in... And after finding nothing, I decided to find out myself! This short film/mini episode was created by the fans for the fans, and is intended as a tongue-in-cheek spoof poking fun at the show we all know and love. The "2 Man Crew" is exactly that... 2 people. A father and son team, we write, film, direct, edit, and act every character. Needless to say, this project was definitely a labour of love. Over 4 months in the making, we wanted to make this as entertaining as we could for fans just like us. We are not professional film makers... just a couple of amateurs with some goofy ideas. The intention was purely the opposite; rather it was simply intended to be a playful, lighthearted, and comedic spoof of a typical episode of the show. The definition and purpose of a parody is never to insult. Instead it is simply the imitation of the style of a particular creator's work, deliberately exaggerated for humorous or comic effect. They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery and I could not agree more, especially given this context. Thank you, and please enjoy.
