Cross Creek Scenes from Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Home

For those of you who read "The Yearling" and "Cross Creek" by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, visit her homestead to see what inspired her Pulitzer prized writing. In February 2010, we visited Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings homestead in Cross Creek, Florida about 15 miles north of Ocala. You will see scenes of the grounds, garden, exterior of her Cracker style house and tenant house and the outhouse. Rawlings homestead is now a Florida state park.
