Crude but successful coral pig trap - swing-down gate.

A coral pig trap using a single 30m length of 5' high cattle yard panel, a swing gate and a very crude trip wire mechanism. Our previous experiment with a coral pig trap had used a self-sprung funnel gate, which was not strong enough to contain this big young boar - he escaped by lifting the cattle yard panel at the funnel entrance - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w7lskhgEQE Demonstrating the arrogance of a big pig in his prime, he returned the very next night, so we went back to free-feeding for a while before installing this swing-down gate and crude trip-wire set up. The boar was successfully contained in this trap. Unfortunately this trap is too easily activated by cockatoos and wallabies. The wallabies were released from the trap within 10 minutes, but trapping wallabies is not acceptable, so the next experiment will be remote gate activation by Wi-fi to avoid accidental native animal captures.
