Cubot X18 screen malfunction

My device worked great for the first few hours, but suddenly developed this screen malfunction while I was using it. I have only charged it once and I haven't abused it in any way. I haven't dropped it, exposed it to high or low temperatures, gone jogging with it, or spilled anything on it. The packaging was a little flimsy but there was no indication it had been misshandled in transit. I really like the phone so would prefer a new one or a repair rather than my money back. Thanks.
