Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Who is Mr Hands? Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Explained by Kazuliski.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG set in Night City, the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future. You play as V (Cherami Leigh), a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. In a world of Solos, Netrunners and Techies, today is your first step to becoming a legend like Samurai, Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves), Morgan Blackhand, Spider Murphy, Rache Bartmoss and Alt Cunningham. Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Explained.
In the gameplay demo, there is a moment where V talks to Placide, a member of the Voodoo Boys and tells him "Mr. Hands sent me. Said you got mercwork needs doing."
It’s one of those moments, where due to the lack of information, individuals clutch at straws. For instance, you have notable characters such as Johnny Silverhand and Morgan Blackhand, who have surnames with the word hand in them. Nothing but conjecture at this point. Neither of those characters were necessarily known as Mr. Hands. However, there was a character called Hand or Hands. His original moniker was unknown and he was a fixer.
"Hand" had an uncertain background, originally coming from the Combat Zone. The son of a fugitive drug smuggler; he was brought up by his elder sister. He saw that those with power derive it from their ability to make things happen. He took this to heart and quickly became an invaluable person to know. To virtually everyone he was the person to see if you needed something or someone. This quickly brought him enemies and friends in equal proportions, eventually leading to his betrayal to a rival. Now he's on the run, his earlier life on the streets preparing him well for survival. The latest attempt by a fellow Fixer "to correct an error" left him minus his right arm, but Hand has even turned this to his advantage by building a reputation around his very visible chrome and neon cyberarm. His Cyberarm is also fitted with onboard weapons, such as a pop-up pistol.
His major motivation in life is to escape the streets and to be able to "retire". He is looking for that elusive big score, but so far, he has only managed to keep ahead of his bills. The street has also left him with a detached viewpoint, viewing his clients as separate from himself. However; he will help anyone he sees as a true friend, including laying his life on the line for them. Lucky for him so far, he hasn't had to prove this too many times.
Hand hopes to gain as many good contacts as possible, in all the different layers of society. This he equates with Knowledge, and from it, the power to control his life. So far, he has a lot of street friends, and some underworld friends, but no major players and very few Corporate contacts, since he has not been born and bred into that close-knit circle of people.
Could this be the same Mr. Hands being referred to in Cyberpunk 2077? Or possibly an inspiration for that character. At this moment in time, its not something I can either confirm or deny, but hopefully it does provide one with food for thought.
