●Tzu Chi helps Fujian flood affected residents to move into the the newly completed Da Ai homes. ●Over a thousand people in the slum area collect garbage in the nearby landfill to strive for a living. 1.福建連城建屋併 Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I'm Maggie Tsai. Thank you for joining us. Last July Fujian's Shunchang County was hit with flooding and Tzu Chi came to help in the immediate aftermath, as well as began to build Da Ai homes for the disaster survivors. It's been 3 months after the fact and the survivors are able to move into new home before the Lunar New Year Holiday thanks to Tzu Chi's efforts. 2.鼓浪嶼訪長者 Tzu Chi care recipient, 80-year-old Grandpa Hou lives alone, so does 76-year-old Grandma Jiang. They are accompanied by their TV sets every day. The volunteers visited them and made them happy. Let's follow their visits. 3.菜市場環保 In our next report, we will meet a dedicated recycling volunteer who has been collecting plastic bags at a market. For three years, Tzu Chi volunteer Fang Jinjiao has been collecting plastic bags from the stall owners. In the beginning, some stall owners were skeptical, but after a while, they were touched by her efforts to protect the environment. Now, the stall owners support her with actions. 4.北海黃佩諱 At the Penang Tzu Chi dialysis center in Malaysia, a nurse Wong Pei Hoay once had too give up her dream to become a nurse due to her family's disapproval. However, when she discovered Tzu Chi's nursing scholarship, she seized the opportunity to achieve her dream and safe guard the health of patients. 《 靜思語 》 If everyone contributes their love, a crisis can be turned into an opportunity, and a disaster into a blessing.人人付出一分愛，能轉危機為生機，轉禍為福。 5.柬起(啟)愛(2)垃圾山 The economy of Cambodia has been developing fast, but there is also a widening gap between the rich and poor. In the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, there is a slum area, where more than a thousand people make a living picking garbage from the only landfill in the area. Follow our report, as we document one family there and understand their way of living. 6.台東歲末祝福 Continuing her island-wide tour, Dharma Master Cheng Yen has come to Taitung. She has certified the new Tzu Chi commissioners and hold the year-end blessing ceremony. The Master has encouraged her more than 300 disciples to cherish the affinities with Tzu Chi and uphold the grand vows to benefit the public. 7.馬華族歲末 Tzu Chi Taman Molek Liaison Office in Malaysia hosted a distribution event before Lunar New Year. 36 care recipients came with family and friends to enjoy a festive celebration. Let's join them there. 8.2019大藏經 Now, we are going to take a final look back, at Tzu Chi's major events, that took place in November of 2019.
