By utilizing a process similar to "thermo curing" found in commercial industries, Dana has come up with a way to remove the volatiles (resins, sugars, etc) and once processed, mass and weight are reduced, absolute stiffness is increased and internal damping is decreased; stiffness-to-weight ratio and Velocity of Sound (the rate at which vibration transmits through solid material) are dramatically increased. By modifying his approach to voicing and with the addition of a new finish, Dana has created a totally new thing for those of us looking for a much more "seasoned" tone out of a new guitar.
