[Dark Souls PvP] Stupid Armor of Thorns

A strange thing happened during one of my PvP in the Kiln. That night, I wielded Smough hammer while wearing the armor of thorns. I calculated my weight carefully, and was able to fast roll. But somehow, on several occasion I got stuck / staggered during a roll animation. I remember reading somewhere that wearing that specific armor while wielding a heavy weapon can cause that. Is that confirmed? Too bad I remembered after my defeat. Had I remembered during the match, I would take it off immediately. Anyway, I change wardrobe immediately afterwards, and this strange thing never happens again.
