American Friends of Policy Exchange invites you to join Daniel Finkelstein OBE in conversation with David Frum, author of Why Romney Lost And What The GOP Can Do About It. In this e-book Frum analyzes the influences that shaped Romney's 2012 campaign strategy. Frum says that the Republican Party drifted away from its historic base of the American middle-classes and subscribed to an ideology that was off-putting to large numbers of people. He suggests that rather than election success being about demographics, it is about economics, and a message that works for people who represent all of America. David Frum is a contributing editor at Newsweek and The Daily Beast and a CNN contributor. He is the author of eight books, including most recently the e-book Why Romney Lost and his first novel, Patriots, published in April 2012. In 2001-2002, he served as speechwriter and special assistant to President George W. Bush. He is a member of the board of the Republican Jewish Coalition, American Friends of Policy Exchange, and the new bipartisan drug control group, Smart Approaches to Marijuana.
