Dead Space -- Isaac Clarke's greatest enemy

The greatest, most indestructible enemy Isaac Clarke ever encountered on the USG Ishimura: The broken door. I installed Dead Space PC and played until the end of chapter 2, where there was a door that caused a crash to desktop on opening. I got EA Tech Support on the job, and they responded with what amounted to a reinstall. So I did that. But now there's a door in Chapter 1 that won't open.
