Demonstration of Transrectal Palpation of Bovine Genitalia 14 20 min

Preface The present DVD has been prepared for BVSc and AH students for improving their practical knowledge about various aspects of veterinary theriogenology. The aspects covered in this DVD include anatomy of female bovine genitalia, demonstration of transrectal palpation of genitalia, pregnancy diagnosis in bovines, fetal malpresentations/correction, fetotomy technique, Sharma’s method of uterine detorsion in buffaloes, epidural anaesthesia, Buehner’s suture and stages of semen collection, semen freezing up to artificial insemination. This is our first attempt and we will try to include other aspects of theriogenology in the future versions of DVD. Also, we hope to improve the contents of the DVD with your valuable suggestions. We are especially thankful to Dr RD Sharma, Former ADR, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, PAU for educating us about various obstetrical techniques and importance of timely intervention in obstetrical emergencies.
