After several American and British military personnel are killed in suicide attacks throughout southeast Asia, the U.S. begins to suspect a plot by the Vietnam government. While his military commanders want to see the commando succeed in his mission, his political overseers have a different set of plans. / 전후 한창 테러가 자행되는 때, 월남전 베테랑 로스는 베트남에 두고 온 아들을 찾기 위해 주 방콕, 베트남 대사관에 비자신청을 하러 찾아간다. 이곳에서, 봉면을 당해 도주하던 로스는 자신을 구출해준 미대사관의 특무대장과 상원의원의 특수임무를 맡아주게 된다. 반미테러 집단의 본거지인 월남에 가서 훈련막사를 탐지하던 로스는 위기를 수차례 겪어낸 끝에 아들과 재회, 적을 무찌르고 함께 탈출한다. 도중 러시아인의 방해로, 다시 아들과 떨어지게 되나 접선자 메치와 합세, 러시아군과의 일대 접전을 벌인 끝에, 부자는 마침내 미국 국경으로 향하게 된다.
