There are multiple playable characters in the game[5] who can die as the story continues without them;[6] as a result, there is no "game over" message following a character's death. The right analogue stick on the DualShock controller is used to interact with objects, while its motion controls and touchpad are also employed. Via quick time events and dialogue decisions, the story will branch out depending on which choices are made, the sum of which can be viewed in a flowchart during and after a given chapter; the player can rewind to certain points in the story to reshape decisions in the event of regret. We tried to make our choices on this playthrough be a good and honest way, and only being aggressive when we really had to be. Since this game is so cinematic and so story driven, we left a lot more in that we usually do, to really capture the atmosphere of the game. As always we used relevant dialogue, important gameplay and all cutscenes for a fluid cinematic experience.
