Deus Ex Mankind Divided - SSD vs HDD

Limited SSD space got me thinking of where to install Deus Ex Mankind Divided, so i tried running it on both SSD and HDD. Firing up the game and loading a saved game, it was obvious the SSD was faster (with the saved game loaded almost x2 faster). Surprisingly when loading Breach mode, the HDD was a hair faster. I wonder why. Anyone can shed some light on this?
