The 73 year old Master Kannan Kumar who has received Gramiya Kalaimani in his recognition towards Devarattam trained more than 75,000 students including actors Nasser, Pasupathi and more. Since the age of 12 , Kannan Kumar has been motivated to spread the art of the ancient dance form. He still strives to keep the artform alive and to pass on the craft to the next generation.
