Currently the project is on hiatus now since I have my laptop in repair. I can't finish this mod without it, so it will take some time before it gets released... Sorry if anyone was waiting with anticipation xP For best audio/video sync, use Google Chrome xP Very early WIP, but also a proof that modding in DMC4 SE is manageable. For those who are interested, but do not visit Infernal Works: - Modding procedure for DMC4 SE didn't change, at least in terms of model swapping and texture recoloring. There are still question marks appearing for other mod types such as effect recoloring, motion mods, rescaling etc. - The older modding tools do not work with Special Edition. DMC4 SE runs on the same version of MT Framework engine as Resident Evil 6, which means that it will mostly need tools and unpackers\repackers created for RE6. It's actually good news, because RE6 tools are better developed and the amount of programs needed is lessened. (For example, new ARC unpacker I used can unpack and convert textures to DDS format right away so that they can be later opened with Photoshop if you have Nvidia Texture Tools plugin installed in it) and later convert back and repack the whole ARC file. This reduces the usage of hex editors to a bare minimum. - No need for cutscene invalidation patch anymore, skins are separated from cutscene files, every skin has it's own ARC file and they load to cutscenes depending on your choice. So if you want to change skin in cutscene, you have to mod the ARC file for this skin in cutscenes. - Audio files have newer format, they are still SNGW files, but they can't be replaced with some random OGG music file. Final conclusion for now: At first there was slight fear that the moddding will take some time to get used to, but not too much has actually changed. It's still MT Framework, just a bit newer and with a bit changed file structure in some areas. We just have to find newer tools for it. For now that's all I know and am aware of, and there will be probably more. If you're interested in what's going on with DMC4 SE Modding (and the forum sure got lively now), visit Infernal Works forum: http://s1.zetaboards.com/infernalworks/index Song: Dark Driving Artist: Cave In Album: Tides Of Tomorrow I do not own this song nor do I get any profit from using it. It belongs to its rightful owners.
