Vegan dahl, all time favorite at home. I normally use green split peas for quicker cooking time. In this video am using the yellow split peas. I learned adding fresh curry leaves from my srilankan friend. ( she cook yummy dahl, i should steal her recipe ???.)(I planted 2 curry tree for unlimited supply) The good thing about this recipe is so daptable that you can tweak it to suit your own taste. Can be cook on stovetop, slow cook or in pressure cooker even.
For extra heat add more chili, for more deeper taste add tomatoes, for more creaminess add more milk... serve it with your favorite naan bread, crisps, tacos, crackers etc. You should give this a try...
