Did Trump Forget Melania Is Standing Next To Him?

At a visit to Fort Myers, Florida, last week to survey the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, President Donald Trump sent his regards on behalf of his wife—while she was standing right next to him. "I just want to thank everybody, the first responders, on behalf of myself, our Vice President—Melania really wanted to be with us," Trump said, apparently forgetting that the Slovenian former model was standing directly to his left in a green shirt and white baseball cap. Transcript: So I want to thank everybody. You guys have been -- I don't want to see you next week in another disaster. (Laughter.) We've seen you enough. But I just want to thank everybody, the first responders, on behalf of myself, our Vice President. Melania really wanted to be with us, she's really -- it has really touched her heart what's gone on.
