Don Jose Nepomuceno "Father of Philippine Movies" ANI Awards

Don Jose Nepomuceno is the Father of Philippine Movies. He pioneered the Filipino movie industry. He founded Jose Nepomuceno productions in 1917, the first movie outfit in the Philippines. Mowelfund honored him by being the first recepient of the Ani Awards held at the Cultural center of the Philippines in 2007. His grandson, Paeng Nepomuceno received the award in his behalf.
