Dr Flavia Bustreo wraps up a fantastic FIGO2018

FIGO2018 in Rio de Janiero has been full of cutting edge content for women's health and incredible participation. This year we have shared latest data on C-sections, launch of Childbirth Initiative on quality care, discussed sexual, reproductive health and rights, access to safe abortion, made a declaration on elimination of Cervical Cancer, marched to end Violence Against Women and heard real life stories on FGM and Fistula. We have also had special excitement when we learned that the next President of FIGO will be a woman. Following the membership voting during our General Assembly we are delighted to announce the arrival of accomplished and distinguished women who have led their own country societies and now join the FIGO leadership team.
