Shows how a cheap Serial RAM chip can be added to the circuit to make updating the display much simpler. I noticed after I uploaded this that there are a few "noise" pixels on the display. These were due to the messy breadboard wiring corrupting the serial RAM writes (which happen at an SPI clock speed of 8MHz). Easily fixed by wrapping an earth screen wire around the long cables or by moving the serial RAM wiring to the 5V side of the logic level converters.
