EMvision (ASX:EMV) Introduction

EMvision Medical Devices Limited (ASX:EMV) is a medical technology company developing portable electromagnetic microwave imaging for the diagnosis and monitoring of medical emergencies, disease and health status. EMvision’s lead focus area is neurological conditions, specifically stroke care. Placed on a patient's head, the brain scanner works by emitting low-power electromagnetic waves, much like those used by everyday communication devices, that travel through the brain. As these waves pass through and interact with brain tissue, the device has sensors around the head that detect where the waves go in and out, observing the different electrical properties of normal and abnormal tissue. It uses this information to rapidly detect pathologies.
