Escapril Day 26 | "Cardboard"

Escapril Day 26 - Prompt "Girlhood, Boyhood" ~~~~~~~ I want to build a time machine Out of card board boxes and magic markers These markers will stick together Snapping into place, tip to end And I will cast a magic spell with them Banishing the monsters from under my bed To get out of my head Using the bright colours to draw outside the lines of my smile I'll sketch a rainbow with a pot of gold at the end I will use the gold I find to pay the time keeper One piece of gold for each bag of sand I buy Each bag a minute I can get back Until my time machine is shifting and sliding so much I won't know when I'm standing Not caring because I'm the reason the Earth is shifting A choice not to find my feet on solid ground I'll stand in my hightop shoes Signed by friends with magic markers They'll write their names across each lace A star on the tongue So when I smile I'll be shinning Taking them with me every step of the way My time machine will have bells and whistles I'll conduct an orchestra of ringing and chiming Humming birds will call me to them Dancing to the music I play Sharing the sweet sugar on the tips of their beaks In return I'll give them my secrets An exchange of what is most important But I'll keep my magic markers And when my time machine retires In a rocking chair to tell the microwaves and blender blades About the adventures it showed and telled I'll draw myself another story With the cast of a single spell ~~~~~~~ Twitter: https://twitter.com/BryceSFletch Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brycesfletch ~~~~~~~ Escapril: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtX-0nqrzn0 #escapril #escapril2019
