euronews hi-tech - Could space hopper 'multicopter' be air car of the future?

http://www.euronews.net/ This strange, spider-like machine is a so-called 'multicopter', a helicopter-like craft that its German developers hope could be used one day as the air taxi or air ambulance of the future. It is battery-powered and takes off and lands vertically, just like a helicopter. But it has 16 propellors mounted on a rigid frame to power this take-off and a sort of space hopper ball to cushion its landing.
