"I'll Go Wherever You Go" Tears, tears and more tears! This family…from the second they stepped into our studio and teared up as they reviewed some of our past films till the time they walked out, all carrying kleenex in their hands, I knew this wedding day was going to be an emotional one…for them all. And yes, indeed it was! Can you blame them? This family is so tightly nit! The love they have for each other, their parents, siblings and friends, well it was a beautiful thing to witness.
It was such an incredible privilege to travel out to Phoenix, Arizona and film the wedding of this beautiful couple who happen to be great friends of ours. Not only did I have the honor of documenting one of the most important days of their lives, but I arrived several days early to film all the pre-wedding day festivities such as the bachelor and bachelorette parties, the golf tournament and the rehearsal dinner. It was a fun filled week as I got to know their individual family and friends. Luke is a Naval officer and is currently stationed on our east coast. Emily, who is originally from New Mexico, met Luke at his brother’s going away party. Emily decided to try and out drink a sailor and guessing from her dad’s story….ended up in the bathroom all night, thanks to the Tequila, while Luke continued to hold his own. Shortly there after the two began a relationship. Because Luke was in the Navy, they had a long distance relationship for about 2 years. Despite the multiple states between them, the relationship grew stronger and stronger! The solid foundation built on their strong faith in God and a deep friendship contributed to this success. Time and distance could not keep them a part. Definitely something every military couple knows well.
Emily and Luke exchanged their vows at the beautiful Ashley Castle in Phoenix, Arizona. Emily and her dad had one of the most beautiful first looks, I have ever witnessed! Emily’s father had picked out her wedding dress and the emotions he had, upon seeing her in it on her wedding day, had every one of us in the room all in tears. I’m could devote an entire film just to Emily’s dad and the many times I caught him with tears streaming down his face. You can tell, he sure does love his little girl! Emily and Luke, what else can I say! Scott and I were completely moved by the many stories and comments that each of your friends and family shared about you two! You are truly a blessing to so many! We were so honored to have been a part of this incredible day! Thank you for entrusting us with this beautiful love story! We love you both and can’t wait to see how your family will grow in the future! Hugs to you both!!
