Family Matters .2017. Final Project

so, some of the "artistic choices" made in this are a bit... weird, one may say. first of all, whats with all the black and white photos? so, you could say that it was due to the pictures being old, but i acually wanted black and white photos for a large part of my photos to represent how "black and white" society was in comparison to now. as the video progresses, i tried to show the way society changed by gradually adding more and more color. the pictures of my grandmother, barbara, are primarily in color because of the way she *says* that she was as a kid and how she argued the sexist treatment that she expirienced. also, the gifs partway through the video were to represent the growth of society, despite still seeing things quite plainly, and how we can grow to be strong, independant, and beautiful. yes, i know, its a bit over thought, but thats frankly what happens when you dont sleep enough, at least for me.
