Now we will turn a plain looking image into something that grabs the attention of your audience.
Make sure to click your title effect, Then head over to the Inspector Window to start adjusting your parameters.
First we have Effect Mode where you can choose how you want your overlay to come through.
After that adjust the scale slider to your preference. This will magnify your overlay.
Next you have the ability to flip your overlay preset vertically or horizontally depending on what look you are going for.
You can then control the opacity of your overlay.
This allows you to make your overlay faint or really make your overlay stand out.

Once you have done the ground work you can now begin to really make this overlay your own under the Enhancement Controls.
You can choose to invert your overlay by simply checking the grey box.
Next lets manipulate the shadows of your footage.
You can change your shadows, mid tones and highlights color clicking the drop down arrow next to each designated area, This will give you a color scale to choose from.
Underneath you also have the control of your reds, greens and blues in each area allowing you to really make your style overlay.
The last two adjustments in the Enhancement Controls section is Threshold and smoothness.
You can choose to keep your threshold on or off by clicking the grey box. It will automatically be checked.
Threshold will allow you to control how dramatic you want your overlay to look.
Smoothness lets you choose how much definition your overlay will have.
