"Few steps ahead" has been shot in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh in coordination with SECURE, a voluntary organization working in 14 villages in collaboration with Aide et Action International South Asia. The video throws light on how learning skills can be improved in government run schools which witness 30 to 40 percent drop out after 10th standard in rural areas. The emphasis is laid on evolving key strategies such as developing locally available learning material. The film captures the strength of community based institutions in improving quality of education, provided we mobilize and build their capacities in addressing issues related to children in villages.
AEAI South Asia in partnership with 26 partners is working in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra.Pradesh, Karnataka, Orissa, Madhya .Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Maharastra, Chattisgarh, Bihar, Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Assam, Nepal and Sri Lanka to improve quality of education in 2400 schools reaching out to 2,00,000 children.
