Fidelity Labs Creates First “Hosted” VR Experience on Amazon Sumerian: Cora’s Virtual Chart Room

Fidelity Labs, the internal R&D unit of Fidelity Investments, has created a proof of concept (POC) using Amazon Sumerian’s environment to run virtual reality (VR) combined with text-to-speech. Think of it like a virtual chart room. Amazon Sumerian is deeply integrated with other AWS services that make features like text-to-speech and conversational chat-bots possible, so you’re joined in this virtual reality experience with a virtual agent – Cora. Cora guides you through the room, pulling up stock quotes, company charts and even answering questions about a company’s performance.
