Quite often in the evening Chimes Corner is taken over by Filipina girls visiting after work The girls often get together to talk about work, life and their dreams. They have taken over the Chismes Corner from Myra and Bing at least for an hour or so almost every day. Most continue to work after their meeting, all are local live-in maids. As you see they have high spirits and are happy to be working. They dance and jump around like they don't have a care in the world. Nothing could be further from the truth. Philippine lifestyle for people living in the province isn't easy. These young ladies are working to support there families living in the province. Four of the girls are Myra's nieces. Fire is helping Myra with her money making schemes. Fay, Leonilyn, Sugar Bear all work nearby as live-in maids. Lala is working as a live-in maid and as cashier at the sari sari store where they all meet. Maids wash the cloths, prepare all meals, clean the houses and road frontage, get kids ready for school and quite often do the shopping. Most employers have children or a business the maids assist with. Quite often they are watched over and taken care of in times of illness by their employers.
