Film Review: Mohalla Assi

Film Mohalla Assi starring Sunny Deol, Sakshi Tanwar among others is about a Sanskrit teacher who struggles to come to terms with the changes happening in his town of Banaras (Varanasi) and particularly in the Assi Mohalla. We felt that Sunny Deol couldn't fully fit into the role of a Banarasi priest. Also, several issues affecting the country and particularly Banaras have been highlighted in the movie and some viewers may not fully get the picture of what's happening. We rate it 2.5 stars.
