Finite Element Applications in Industrial Applications by Mr. Vaman Kulkarni @ CAE Colloquium 2013

Mr. Vaman Kulkarni has a total of 26 years of experience including 6 Years of experience as Senior Engineering Manager of "Aerothermodynamics, Product Development and Design" groups at HTS, Leading a group of 100 Engineers comprising of 12 Project Leads and 15 Technology Specialists. Mr. Kulkarni quickly adapted to the Honeywell operating process and effectively managed the projects for Aero as well as Transportation System business in the following areas: CFD Tool calibration, process development and Automation Development of user friendly tools for Post processing, Geometry attractions, 1D design tools, etc. Design Method Customization for CATIA, LCA, UG and TCE Automation of Parametric model development for Compressor and Turbine Automation Translation process from CATIA to other CAD tools such as IDEAS, UG, ProE etc. Electro-Magnetic Product Development right from requirement capturing to delivering the qualified hardware Value Engineering projects to reduce cost through should cost analysis and new design ideas Enabled HTS growth through new project initiatives for both Aero and Transportation System Developed the STRAP and AOP for Mechanical group, in consultation with business partners and in line with business goals and objectives Presented knowledge sharing lecture on Challenges of Engine Control. Also gave lecture to Avionics M.Tech students on Propulsion System. Guided five people on M.Tech (Avionics) project
