Fishing a Swim Jig - The Quest to Become a Bass Master

Fishing a Swim Jig - The Quest to Become a Bass MasterУ вашего броузера проблема в совместимости с HTML5
In the overwhelmingly vast world of bass fishing, there are a seemingly infinite number of techniques and lures I've yet to learn and master. One bait that I haven't spent much time fishing is the swim jig. In an attempt to learn more about the bait, I head out on the water with only a swim jig in hand. My goal - to learn as much about the bait as I possibly can and to catch a few fish along the way! Stumps, log jams, laydowns, grass, docks, ect. Effective water temps - 72 degrees+ Ideal conditions - 24 inches+ visibility, calm to slight winds, light penetration won't matter Colors - Match the hatch: green pumpkin, watermelon, chartreuse for bluegills and white/grey for shad patterns Hookset - Sweeping hookset, if you're swimming the jig and the bass knocks slack in your line, be sure to reel in the slack while simultaneously setting the hook. Retrieval - Vary your retrieve, burning, slow rolling, "hopping," and lift-and-fall type retrieves will all be effective under the right conditions Where not to use the bait - Heavily stained to muddy water, the swim jig is mostly a visual technique, the bass must be able to see the lure. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Loch Raven Reservoir - Phoenix, Maryland Date: June 30th, 2016 Primary Pattern: Swimming a jig around shallow wood and grass Time Fished: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Air Temp: High of 81 degrees, low of 68 degrees Water Temp: 78 degrees Water Clarity: 48 inches Conditions: Sunny and calm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Playlists: How To Vids - http://bit.ly/how-to-fish Collabs with Legendary Anglers - http://bit.ly/fishingcollabs Fishing my home waters - http://bit.ly/fishinghomewaters Epic Fishing Challenges - http://bit.ly/fishingchallenges Bass Tournament Vids - http://bit.ly/BassTournaments Fishing with my Subscribers - http://bit.ly/SubFishing Fishing around the U.S. - http://bit.ly/FishingtheStates Multi Species Vids - http://bit.ly/multi-species Saltwater Fishing - http://bit.ly/SWfishing Subscriber Fishing Tournaments - http://bit.ly/SubTournaments Mystery Tackle Box Slams - http://bit.ly/MTBslams My Tackle Collection - http://bit.ly/bassFtackle Other Playlists - http://bit.ly/1R1Rplaylists ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Support me on patreon for awesome perks! $1 - One bonus video per month + a private patreon only live stream! http://bit.ly/1R1Rpatreon $2 - Lure Guide to Bass Fishing (21 pages) + a guide to growing a fishing YT channel (23 pages) (Plus all $1 perks :D) http://bit.ly/1R1Rpatreon Instagram (Daily fishing pics!): http://bit.ly/1R1Rinsta Facebook (Picture albums): http://on.fb.me/1ThWG0f Snapchat (Daily uploads of random stuff :P): mhsiao8 Periscope (Live streams!) - 1Rod1ReelFishing ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Email - [email protected] (business inquiries only) Subscribe for new videos every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday!
