In May 2013 independent game developer Dong Nguyen released a simple designed and yet hard to play mobile game named "Flappy Bird". For 8 months it didn't get too much attention but then later this year in December it went viral. With over 50 million downloads it became one of the most successful free games on the App Store. But in February 2014 this success came to a sudden end when Nguyen pulled the app from the App Store. The reason? The developer was overwhelmed with the extreme success and wanted back his simple life.
