GCSE Media Studies Film "Target" Intro (A grade)

This is a Media Studies GCSE project where we had to film and create the first 2:30-3:20 of a full feature length film, Ours was called Target. Plot Synopsis (Summary) Our film is going to be set in a fractured narrative layout this means that not all of the film will be shown in chronological order -- hence the clip you see at the intro of the film is actually the main point the film revolves around, but is set halfway into the full feature film. The story is about the life of Arriyan, a young drug addict who is deep in debt to a drug dealer and cannot pay, so the drug dealer makes a deal with Arriyan to rid him of his debt -- A deal that Arriyan literally cannot refuse, if he does so he will be killed -- The drug dealer forces Arriyan to do his dirty work for him. It starts off with small jobs like selling small drugs. However this is not sufficient and the crime escalates. The same drug dealer is having issues with another customer Named Daniel, (Tom's brother) who is also not paying in his debts which are far more significant than Arriyan's. In the film you witness multiple phone conversations between Daniel and The Dealer where the dealer states "If you don't get me my money you are going to regret it the for rest of your ******* life" -- At this point in the film you have not yet seen the face of Daniel , but you have seen childhood footage of Daniel (who you do not know yet as Daniel) and Tom practicing football together. In order for the dealer to get revenge on Daniel he threatens and blackmails Arriyan to pull off the hit on Tom, or have a hit put on himself. The film from that point on is about how Daniel finds out that Arriyan was the one who shot his innocent brother Tom -- but then finds out Arriyan's story - and teams with Arriyan to kill The Dealer, thus untying themselves from him and taking down the drug empire.
