In this short clip, we see the examination of the renal system in a man who had renal colic as presented by Raymund Carroll, FRCS, of Manchester Royal Infirmary. This is taken from our medical teaching DVD where we see the systematic approach to a patient with renal colic and a calculus demonstrated by KUB. Specific aspects are then illustrated on a patient with polycystic kidneys and one with chronic urinary retention and a distended bladder. Technique of rectal examination then demonstrated on a man with carcinoma of prostate.
