~Good Enough~ (Sims 3 Pets Short Story)

READ BEFORE OR AFTER WATCHING IT REALLY DOESN’T MATTER FOR THIS FIRST PART! But it is highly recommended ya do read the summary of this xD Summary: Before the story- cx Born from a famous showline, Layla was expected to follow within the footsteps of her well-known, prestigious parents. Her genes were that of royalty among the showline Golden Retrievers and was worth of fortune to own such. And a fortune is what her to-be owner paid for her. Greed and selfishness clouded his mind when he looked before the pale retriever puppy. Little did he know even if her family line was destined for greatness, that would not be the case for Layla. For her color tint was too light and had too much pigment for a showline’s standard. Competition they went to, ultimately, Layla was rejected from. Her name was never made for greatness. Over time her master grown rather sick and tired of this constant cycle. He began mentally destroying and beating on his failure product’s mind. Her confidence faded over the years of his care, she barely spoke and never met one’s eye. Layla’s posture slackened and she knew that one day, she may meet her end from the hands of the human that was suppose to love her. Now onto the actual happenings lol One day whilst Layla was laying in her kennel outside, watching the dusk take its place. It was peaceful, calm, but ultimately ruined when she heard the sliding door of her human’s house open. They have been given the opportunity to partake in SUKC (Sims Dogs Kennel Club)’s upcoming trial. There was a catch though. If Layla were to fail yet another showing, she would be thrown out like the garbage she was. A few weeks later her and her master drove up to where the contest took place in New York (just a guess, this is where AKC irl is located sooo cx) Just as her owner was checking her in, some of her lifelong rivals greeted her with the same hatred and sultry as usual. At the start all was well. The judges seemed to have taken a liking to her inherited posture and temperament. Though this did lost, for just as she was about to calm down and gain hope, her inevitable coat color is what brought her down. With her master hotheaded and furious, they left in a rush and he drove her to a nearby park and for the first time, he beat her physically. After several kicks and harsh insults, he left her with a broken rib and a promise to kill her if he were to ever see her again (this inferred with the ‘Rott in hell dialogue’) she passed out from the pain as she blearily watched her master leave her behind for the last time. She remained on the streets for many months. As soon as her internal wound healed up to the point where she could walk, she left the city and roamed far from town to town, country to country, anything to get away from former life’s hateful memories. Her voyage lead her eventually the Appaloosa Plains where she stopped to scavenge for food in a local dump behind a restaurant. Her mind was clouded all day with her past rival’s cruel words. She slowly began to believe them and questioned why she was still going on since she would never be good enough for anymore. Almost as if her thoughts her outloud, another Golden Retriever came upon her and saw her misery. She finally found a kind soul. I miscounted the first time but panicked and asked more people before I realized it.. so in the end I just asked an irl friend and wala that one was chosen o3o Sorry for some clips. The world I used for the most part was very laggy.
